Please be careful when purchasing Ugg boots in order to prevent the disappointment, frustration and expense of ending up with a fake pair. Here are some guidelines for avoiding this:
1. Only buy from the authorised Ugg retailers. This can be checked on http://www.uggaustralia.co.uk/. Unless it is the actual Ugg website, avoid any website which has the word ' ugg' in their domain!
2. Be cautious of purchasing Uggs from Ebay. Authorised Ugg retailers are not permitted to sell on Ebay.
3. If the price is much cheaper than the normal retail price, the boots are likely to be fakes. Although, some websites are now charging nearly full price for fakes in order to appear genuine! The counterfeiters also use product images taken from the Ugg Australia website, so that they appear genuine.
4. In the product images, if the boots have labels attached/pinned to them, they are fakes!
5. There should be a reflective security sticker on the outside of the shoebox.
